Teaching Philosophy

We are all born with the desire and ability to express ourselves creatively. That is why there are some people who must sing, they literally cannot keep themselves from singing. In this way, singing is as natural as breathing. There are muscles and techniques involved, but mainly music is the language of the heart. Therefore, everyone can sing, or at least be taught. At Melody Line Studio, you will be given the tools you need to express yourself in song. Once you have the techniques you need there will be nothing you can't sing. Come take a lesson and find out for yourself!

Here are some of the skills you will learn:

Vocal Production - (how to produce sound) Vocal Placement - (how to sing on pitch) Vocal Anatomy - (where sound comes from) Breathing Techniques (how to breathe to receive maximum power & strength in your voice) Performance Skills (etiquette, what to do with your hands,how to use a microphone, and lots more..)

We will utilize a variety of techniques and exercises that have been developed over many years from several different styles of music.
